  • Create an emergency plan – Develop a family evacuation plan, including meeting points, transportation routes, and communication methods.
  • Get financially ready – Build an emergency saving fund (3-6 months of expenses), review insurance coverage (home, auto, flood, earthquake), and protect important documents in a secure accessible way.
  • Build an emergency kit – Prepare a disaster supply kit with essentials like food, water, medication, and first aid supplies to last you at least 72 hours.
