As Truist Advisory Services, Inc.’s co-chief investment officer, Oscarlyn co-leads the Investment Advisory Group (IAG), which is responsible for allocating investment capital to help meet clients’ financial goals, as well as addressing how emerging investment innovations should be reflected for clients. Her team sources investment managers and solutions for the benefit of Truist clients, enables diverse asset manager solutions, and drives engagement with advisors and clients.
Oscarlyn is the host of Truist Wealth’s podcast, “I’ve Been Meaning To Do That.”
Prior to her current role, Oscarlyn was the wealth investment platform executive responsible for leading the evolution of the investment experience of Truist’s high net worth and ultra-high net worth client segments. She also led a team of investment professionals in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast working to expand Truist predecessor SunTrust’s presence in the Northeast. She also worked directly with clients constructing and implementing portfolios designed to achieve their financial goals. Oscarlyn’s career has focused exclusively within financial services, with an intense focus in investment and wealth management since 2002.
Oscarlyn has a long history of being active in her community through multiple non-profit involvements. She’s a current board member of the Virginia Council on Economic Education, as well as an MCV Foundation trustee, treasurer, and investment committee chair. She also previously served on the board of The Doorways and the St. Catherine’s Foundation board.
Oscarlyn successfully led SunTrust’s Central Virginia United Way Campaign for 2018 for 3,300 teammates. Previously, while living in Lynchburg, VA, she served on the board of Elizabeth’s Early Learning Center as president, vice president, and treasurer. She also served on the board of Goodwill of the Valleys, the Dance Theatre of Lynchburg (as treasurer), the Daily Bread, the Junior League of Lynchburg (as treasurer), New Land Jobs (as treasurer), and the Region 2000 Workforce Investment board.
