The Scott Group is an established advisory practice providing highly personalized financial planning, comprehensive investment strategy, and customized multigenerational wealth transfer advice for high net worth individuals, families and successful business owners.

The team was assembled over the last three decades by past Scott & Stringfellow Chairman, S. Buford Scott, who instilled a culture of exceptional service and ‘clients’ interests first’ advice. Financial planning is the starting point and, indeed, the very heart of our financial advisory practice. However, unlike many in our industry, we use a relatively brief – some would say fun – approach to help uncover what is most important to you. The five card process allows us to ‘get behind the curtain’ in order to understand what clients are trying to achieve in their financial lives and how they prioritize their goals.

Next, we design a comprehensive investment portfolio built around their risk appetite, needs and goals. In a sea of cookie cutter approaches, we focus on customizing a strategy built to suit the unique objectives and constraints of each investor and look to achieve solid long term financial confidence.

We have regular calls with clients designed to review financial goals and monitor investment performance. During this step and through candid conversations, we tend to discuss the possible changes in their personal circumstances and suggest adjustments to address new goals, requirements or opportunities.
