Background
Russell Sanders is a Managing Director in Truist’s Strategic Client Group, advising clients on a wide range of issues related to their business and family planning goals.
Prior to his current role, Russell was a member of GenSpring Family Offices and has extensive experience working with ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices to ensure that all aspects of family’s wealth management plans are implemented.
Before working at GenSpring, Russell was an executive director in Ernst & Young’s private client services group, where he provided objective advice to clients and family offices on a variety of matters, including estate and gift tax planning, income tax planning, philanthropic endeavors, risk management, and family dynamics and governance. He's also worked as a senior wealth strategist with Goldman Sachs, a wealth advisor at Legg Mason, and as a technical resource in KPMG’s national tax office based in Washington, D.C.

Russell earned his bachelor’s in finance from Louisiana Tech University, J.D. from the University of Arkansas, and LL.M. from the University of Florida College of Law.
