Juan Meyer is a senior vice president for Truist Wealth who oversees relationships with onshore and offshore client families. He also plays an active role in the firm’s marketing and public relations efforts.
Following business school, he briefly worked on Wall Street as a management consultant. He joined Pantasote, a vertically integrated vinyl plastic manufacturing company, in 1974 before transitioning to his wife’s family office in 1984. In 2003, Juan became a part of GenSpring when Eagle Capital International, the family office of which he was president, merged its operations with GenSpring’s predecessor company in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Juan was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and earned a B.A. from Amherst College; two degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT): a B.S. in chemical engineering and an M.S. in chemical engineering; and an M.S. from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
His interests include classical music (he plays the piano), theater, global travel, cooking, and tennis.
He’s served on the boards of a number of philanthropic, educational, and business organizations, including the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, MIT Corporation Visiting Committee, Council for the Arts at MIT, Cathay Investment Fund, E.I.I. Realty Securities Trust, and Northern Trust Multi Advisor Fund. He was also a board member of the Greenwich Reformed Synagogue.
