Background

Tom Bates is an institutional investment advisor within the Foundations and Endowments Specialty Practice and offers clients more than a decade of investment management experience. The practice delivers comprehensive investment advisory, administration, trust, and fiduciary services to nonprofit organizations, administering assets for foundations, hospitals, educational institutions, cultural organizations, human service agencies, associations, municipalities, and other nonprofits.

Having earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) professional designation, Tom advises clients on developing and implementing investment strategies to help them address their immediate and future goals. He follows a disciplined process of assessing a client’s financial situation, forming and executing an appropriate investment plan, and performing ongoing portfolio maintenance.
