Background

As a Trust Advisor and Senior Vice President with Truist Wealth, Ted Desmarais offers clients more than 35 years of experience in complex estate planning and trust administration. Ted acts as the primary fiduciary on wealth management teams that include specialists in banking, investments and financial planning, all working together to help families understand and achieve their financial goals.

Ted grew up in Florida but has spent his entire career in the Washington, DC area. He worked as an estate planning attorney at a major law firm in DC for nearly 20 years before moving into wealth management, where he enjoys partnering with his clients and their attorneys and accountants to help ensure smooth and efficient implementation of their financial and legacy goals.
